The costume score is not connected to the costume award in any way. The costume score does NOT take into consideration whether the costume is ”correct” for the region being presented.

COSTUME AWARD
The costume award is presented by the costume judges to the one team in each classification displaying the most outstanding costume. Consideration shall be given to whether the costumes, in whole or in part, were professionally made or were made by the dancers (or parents of the dancers’ parish) themselves, thus more fully promoting the perpetuation of Greek culture and heritage. Criteria for the costume award MAY include authentic representation of original costume from a specified region/village of Greece, including appropriate colors of region; cut of pattern, proper fabric, appropriate accessories, appropriate embroidery, and others.
